New Corvette Engine Leaked! ZR1 LS9!

Well pictures have been leaked about the new Corvette Engine. As you can see from the pics above its SUPERCHARGED! Its a 6.2L V8 Supercharged. Its twin cooled breathing dragon. Rumors are that the engine will produced about 650HP. We’ll just have to wait till Jan for the offical release. As for now they are calling it the ‘Blue Devil’ from the blue accents on the engine. But word is that they will officially change the name to ZR1 on the release.

HKS Evo CT230R breaks Buttonwillow Raceway record!

If you don’t know this car yet you should. It was built by HKS special project’s workshop. The car is fullly made out of dry carbon, 4g63 making 550hp, and weighting in at 2200Lbs. You have the makings of one serious car. Built for one purpose only. Time attacks. Behind the wheel is Nobuteru Taniguchi. Not only did this car break the record at Buttonwillow. It also is a special class being one of the few elites that are in the under the 54.xxx sec at Tsukuba. Take a watch at the video’s and enjoy!

Nürburgring Lap Record Broken!

Well the record has been broken at the Nürburgring. This BMW M3 CSL which makes 532hp, and 3140Lbs which beat a Pagani Zonda F for the previous record. The incredible thing is that the M3 CSL weights more by 400Lbs and has 70hp less. That pretty outstanding, must have to make it all up in the corners. Well you watch the video, be the judge of it.

Well what can you say about the Caparo T1. Its had some really bad press. Car has been in fire, throttle stuck open, and floor panels falling off. But does it matter? The car is basically a F1 car that you can drive on the street. Just take a look at Jeremy and Stig take the Caparo T1 for a drive around the track. But even tho it does set the record on the course. Sources say that time is disqualifed. Cause the Caparo T1 can not pass over a speed bump. Oh well!!! Enjoy!!!

Here is a great thing by our friends at Bridgestone tires. They list all the winners for the 2007 season. So what’s the big deal? They no only show the winners from F1 to Champcar, but they even anouce the winners from the Grassroots level. How cool is that! Way to go Bridgestone!

New Kumho V710

Well what many ppl have been waiting for, a new V710. As you can see from the picture above the new V710 has very very square shoulders. From one source at the moment they feel great, wear great, and run at low pressures. But, is this the road racing V710? And they will keep the rounded shoulders for the camber challenge stock cars in AutoX? Time will tell. All we can do is dream till they come out! Start drooling!!!

Toyo R1R

Toyo also has released a new street tire for the next up coming year. They are getting into the STS market aswell. Toyo is well known for RA-1, but they have really never had a competitive street tire. Well they are hoping that this could be the tire that rules on the streets. R1R’s could possible have better sizes that the competition. But are they sticky is the question?
