Evo X unveiled

September 25, 2007 hfortysixit Comments off

Well that time has come. The EvoX has arrived and specs are out! Looks like the the new EvoX will not have as much power i had expected. According to Edmunds, EvoX is a 295hp and 300tq. Not as powerful as i had thought. The new EVO X has been stretched 1 inch, it is also 1.2 inches taller and 1.6 inches wider than the last generation. The US is going to get two versions of the car, the GSR and MR. The GSR is the base model and comes with a 5-speed manual and 18 inch Enkei wheels. The top of the line MSR model comes with HID headlights, Bilstein dampers, and the Twin Clutch-Sequential Sportshift Transmission (TC-SST).

Colin McRae dies in Helicopter crash…

September 18, 2007 hfortysixit Comments off

The former rally driving champion Colin McRae was killed and his five year-old son feared dead in a helicopter crash yesterday afternoon. The aircraft came down in Jerviswood, Lanarkshire, half a mile from the family’s home and burst into flames just after 4pm. McRae began his rally career in 1986, piloting a Talbot Sunbeam. A regular competitor on Scottish Rally Championship events, he was soon making a name for himself with his speed and exciting style of driving. His driving style drew many comparisons to Ari Vatanen, the famous Finnish rally driver who McRae had always idolised. He soon progressed to a Vauxhall Nova, and then onto a Ford Sierra XR 4×4. His first WRC exposure was in the 1987 Swedish Rally behind the wheel of his Nova, and again in 1989, driving the Sierra and finishing 15th overall. Later in ‘89, he finished 5th overall at Rally New Zealand in a rear wheel drive Sierra Cosworth. 1991 saw McRae join Prodrive Subaru for the British Rally Championship. He was twice the British champion in 1991 and 1992, soon graduating to ‘works’ status for the World Rally Championship factory team.

Well took the attention of the S2000 CR(US Model) for Honda Japan to realize that there needs to be a more aggressive S2k! Honda Japan just recently had announced a Type S model in Japan. It looks much like the CR, but looks like they might be keeping the soft top. Where its American counter part is only offered with a removable hardtop only to keep the weight down. There will be more information when the S2000 Type S at Tokyo Motor Show.

September 5, 2007 hfortysixit Comments off

Well to follow suit with everything mac is putting out at the moment. Here is the new ipod’s! The shuffle seems to be the same, Nano has been sqiush, ipod is now a classic, ipod touch looks like iphone, and grand daddy iphone! This one serious looking update. I don’t think really like the new look of the ipod’s. But i’m sure many of you do out there. itouch might be the winner here. Its seems like the best one of the bunch. Has build in Wi-Fi, touch screen, and looks very thin! And the price is somewhat reasonable. Check out the mac website for more info and pricing.
