Camera 2 for Nikon today. Here is the flagship camera. 12.1 effective pixel camera. Does this camera have what it takes to compete with the new Canon 1Ds MKIII? If this was the battle of the MP’s Canon hands down has won. 21MP vs. 12MP. Again this is a Full Frame CMOS chip. What is Nikon upto? Still time will tell. I’m sure that all Nikon users could be happy with the new decision to move to a FF CMOS chip. But on with the specs:

• FX format
• RGB Color Filter Array
• Built-in fixed low-pass filter
• 12.9 million total pixels
• 12.1 million effective pixels
• 3:2 aspect ratio
